#49: Patience Is an Action (Why High Achievers Quit Too Soon)

Season #1

In this solo episode, I sit down and talk through a pattern I see constantly with private clients, business owners, and honestly, myself. It’s the pull of momentum, the discomfort of waiting, and the temptation to abandon something right before it starts working.

I share why high achievers are especially vulnerable to shiny object syndrome, how constantly “trying something new” creates the illusion of progress, and the cookie-baking analogy that helped one client finally see what was really holding them back. We talk about why patience feels unbearable, why it’s so often mislabeled as wasted time, and how learning to hold emotionally is a skill most people never train.

I also open up about seasons where Galen and I questioned everything, bank accounts in the negative, launches that didn’t land, and the quiet internal battle of staying the course when it would’ve been easier to pivot or quit. We get into mentorship, alignment, and why choosing the right direction matters just as much as having the discipline to see it through.

This episode is for anyone who feels stuck in the middle doing the work, trusting the plan, but struggling to sit with the discomfort long enough to reach the finish line. Because patience isn’t passive. It’s an action. And learning to hold it might be the most important skill you ever build.
